1,500km in November for Movember | Newy Rides

Writer: Newy RidesNewy Rides

Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent.

Join me, Ben and mates, all November in support of Movember, one of the most important causes to help reduce suicide, prostate and testicular cancer in this country.

Personally as I've gotten older I've started to stop, breath and take time to think about these important men's mental health issues. In my 20's this stuff rarely got a look in. I don't see my close friends as often as days gone by and it's becoming more apparent that this stuff really matters. Blokes aren't necessarily the best communicators, but by creating opportunities to connect, open up, we will get better at it.

Newy Rides will commit to cycling 1,500km throughout November. The Newy Rides Movember Team is made up of mates, near and far, each putting kilometres on the road to promote awareness, raise money and check-in with our mates.

That's 50 kilometres a day throughout November.

Even when we split it over a team of 9-5ers, new dad's, doggy dads, business owners, breakfast radio hosts and blokes that travel for work, finding time to put k's down will be a challenge, but it's worth it.
